Jannik Vestergaard admits he has been left baffled by his treatment at Leicester after being frozen out this season.
The Denmark defender has endured a dreadful time since joining the Foxes in the summer of 2021 for £15milion.
He has made only three appearances this term – none in the Premier League – even though Leicester have been hit by injuries.
‘I really felt wanted by Brendan Rodgers,’ Vestergaard told Danish publication EkstraBladet. 'While I was at Southampton, he really convinced me that I should switch to Leicester.
‘I was already very close to switching from Southampton to Leicester, a year and a half before it became a reality.
