Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers backs introduction of concussion substitutes in the Premier League following sickening clash of heads between Raul Jimenez and David Luiz

Brendan Rodgers has backed the introduction of concussion substitutes in the Premier League following the injuries to Raul Jimenez and David Luiz in the latest round of matches.

Jimenez suffered a fractured skull which required surgery and he is under observation in a London hospital, while Luiz was taken off at half-time during Wolves' 2-1 win at Emirates Stadium.

Leicester boss Rodgers said: 'Looking at the incident at Arsenal and some previous ones, it's a valid point. The collision was awful and I hope Raul Jimenez recovers well from the operation.
