Former Premier League star Brenden Aaronson has been banned from driving after being caught speeding in his high-powered Mercedes AMG.

The £24.7million Leeds United midfielder was clocked driving at 37mph in a 30mph zone on March 12 last year.

The 23-year-old was ordered not to drive a vehicle for six months and fined more than £1,000 after racking up 13 points on his licence.

The American, who is currently on loan with German outfit Union Berlin, was caught on the A6040 Knaresborough Road, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Aaronson entered a guilty plea to a further speeding offence at Harrogate Magistrates' Court yesterday.
