Leeds bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Nadiem Amiri with Joseph Paintsil and Joel Piroe other targets as Daniel Farke looks to add goals and creativity

Leeds United have made a bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Germany midfielder Nadiem Amiri.

Daniel Farke is eager to add attacking players to his squad as Leeds aim to return to the Premier League.

They have also asked about Genk winger Joseph Paintsil and remain keen on Swansea striker Joel Piroe, though the clubs have differing valuations.

Amiri, 26, is an attacking midfielder who has played five times for Germany, though his last appearance was back in 2020.

Amiri is entering the final year of his Leverkusen contract and was a late substitute in their 3-2 win over RB Leipzig on the opening weekend of the Bundesliga season.
