Kilmarnock boss Lee Clark hopes to have completed his eighth loan signing of the summer in time for Charlee Adams to make his debut against Ross County.
The Birmingham midfielder's arrival was being finalised as the club announced that right-back Luke Hendrie had joined, also on loan, from Burnley.
Both 21-year-olds have initially agreed deals until January.
"As long as the paperwork gets cleared, they will be involved on Saturday," said Clark.
Londoner Adams, who has had previous loan spells with Lincoln City, played twice for Birmingham under Clark's successor there, Gary Rowett, in the Championship last season and his availability alerted rival suitors.
