Brian Bwire was the hero as Kariobangi Sharks defeated English Premier League side Everton 4-3 on penalties after the two sides had battled out a 1-1 draw in a friendly match at Kasarani Stadium.
It took the visitors just three minutes to make their intentions clear, when they won a free-kick 35 yards from goal, but Darron Gibson shot narrowly wide.
Mason Holgate was booked in the eighth minute after pulling back Erick Kapaito, who had managed to break from his half. Moments later, Ademola Lookman was forced off with an injury, and Nathan Broadhead took his place.
