Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho took time out of his preparations to face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Wednesday as he wrote a letter to an ill 94-year-old supporter.
Lifelong supporter Fredrick Schofield is recovering after suffering a stroke and the Portuguese boss felt compelled to get in touch after learning of his struggles.
Mourinho signed off his letter by informing Schofield that 'myself, the players and the staff are all thinking of you' as his family surprised him with the personal note after reaching out to the Red Devils.

The 55-year-old United manager is often criticised for his icy persona on the touchline but this latest gesture is evidence of his commitment to engaging with the supporters.
