Javier Hernandez heaps praise on 'spectacular' Sir Alex Ferguson as the former Man United star reveals the Scotsman's success with his star-studded squad came from knowing his players 'authentically' and treating them as individuals

Javier Hernandez revealed what he believes to be the key to Sir Alex Ferguson's unprecedented success at Manchester United.

The LA Galaxy star had been making waves at Guadalajara in his native Mexico when United's then chief scout Jim Lawlor travelled to watch him play in October 2009 and recommended the club sign the striker.

Hernandez's move would be completed the following summer, and he would impress fans on his debut by netting in the club's victory over Chelsea in the 2010 Community Shield.

During a spell at Old Trafford that spanned six seasons, Chicharito won two Premier League titles and in his maiden campaign was part of the squad that narrowly missed out on Champions League success against a Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona at Wembley.
