Inter Milan chief Giuseppe Marotta warns Man City that their financial clout does not guarantee European glory... and the Italian side are 'really motivated' to cause an upset in Champions League final

Manchester City have been warned by Champions League rivals Inter Milan that huge spending is no guarantee of European glory.

Inter stand between City and lifting this trophy for the first time. The clubs meet in Saturday’s Final in Istanbul, with City overwhelming favourites to complete a Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe Marotta is one of the game’s smartest operators and has rebuilt the club since joining in 2018. In a rare interview with UK media, Marotta heaped praise on City but is confident his club are in with a shout.
