Jurgen Klopp gave a damning assessment of Liverpool's performance after his team's limp 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Tuesday evening, saying that he might have been sacked had the Reds had such a poor season in the past.
After suffering a 4-1 rout at the Etihad against Manchester City on Saturday, the Liverpool manager tried a fresh approach against a rudderless Chelsea side likely to be shell-shocked after the firing of their manager, Graham Potter, on Monday.
But the six changes Klopp made to his starting XI in west London couldn't prove the difference for the Merseyside, with Liverpool profiting from Chelsea's bad finishing and two ruled-out goals to share the points with the home side.
