Gareth Bale's comments this week that he planned to return to Real Madrid this summer were taken 'completely out of context', says his agent Jonathan Barnett.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Wales' World Cup qualifying loss against Belgium on Wednesday, Bale said: 'The original plan was to do a season at Spurs and after the Euros still have a year left at Real Madrid. My plan is to go back - that's as far I have planned.'
But Barnett, in an ESPN report, insists those comments have been 'taken out of context' and it is simply 'too early' to know what Bale's long-term future holds, ahed of his £31m-a-year Madrid contract expiring next year.
