Frank Lampard paid tribute to Roman Abramovich as the Russian billionaire prepares for his 1,000th game as owner of Chelsea.

Lampard was a player when Abramovich took over from Ken Bates in 2003, transforming the club into first Premier League champions and then European champions in 2012.

He knows his job is keep delivering the trophies and promised to do his utmost ahead of the landmark fixture against Tottenham, managed by Jose Mourinho, the man who delivered the first silverware for the Chelsea owner, more than 15 years ago.
