Former Fulham FC and Harrods department store owner Mohamed Al Fayed has died aged 94

The former owner of Fulham and Harrods, Mohamed Al Fayed, has died at the age of 94.

Al Fayed sold Harrods to Qatar Holdings in 2010, and Fulham to US businessman Shahid Khan in 2013.

The Egyptian-born businessman founded a shipping company before moving to London in the 1960s where he soon began to spend time with royals and high society

Al Fayed bought high-profile businesses such as the Ritz hotel in Paris in 1979, Harrods in 1985 and Fulham FC in 1997.

According to Sky News, Al Fayed was buried after Friday prayers at London Central Mosque in Regent's Park.
