Fans warned they risk criminal records by invading the pitch in a joint statement by the Premier League and EFL after 'unwelcome scenes' at the end of last season... including Patrick Vieira being goaded by Everton supporters

Supporters have been warned to remain in the stands in a joint statement by governing bodies and fan groups following 'unwelcome scenes' at the end of last season.

A joint statement was issued by Richard Masters and Trevor Birch, the respective Premier League and EFL chief executives, along with their Football Association counterpart Mark Bullingham.

Football Supporters’ Association head Kevin Miles, Kelly Simmons, director of the Women’s Professional Game and Jack Pearce, chair of the FA Alliance Committee, also signed the statement.

The officials have urged fans to avoid entering the pitch as the season draws to a close, with silverware, promotion and relegation to be decided in the coming weeks.
