Ex-Sutton United goalkeeper Wayne Shaw was forced to resign from his post as assistant manager at the Northern League side on Tuesday but he already has a new role lined up – the Morrisons chain of supermarkets want him to become an official ‘pie tester’.

The 23-stone shot-stopper courted controversy on Monday when he was spotted eating a pie on the bench during the club’s FA Cup tie against Arsenal.
