There cannot be many Premier League footballers who lived on a houseboat. Then again, not many Premier League footballers are Brian Kilcline.
Kilcline may have been a blood and guts central defender but he never looked like one. He lifted the FA Cup in 1987 with long locks flowing down to his shoulders and a moustache above his lip.
The former Coventry City star, who won the FA Cup with the Sky Blues 30 years ago this season, can still recall signing for Swindon Town ahead of the 1994-95 season.
Swindon offered to put their new signing and his girlfriend Lynn up in a hotel, something that was not good enough for the then-41-year-old.
