Everton outcast James Rodriguez close to joining an unnamed Qatari club after leaving England on Sunday as he looks to end his nightmare Goodison Park stay

Everton’s unwanted star James Rodriguez is in Qatar discussing a move to Al Rayyan.

The Colombian was made aware in the summer that he was not part of manager Rafa Benitez’s plans and has been free to find a new club.

The 30-year old midfielder is Everton’s highest earner on over £200,000 a week and that has been prohibitive to him signing elsewhere despite interest from Porto and Turkish side Basaksehir in August.
