Everton boss Frank Lampard says football has moved on since his time under Jose Mourinho

Frank Lampard has credited Jose Mourinho with 'changing his career' as a Chelsea player but believes times have changed in the world of management.

The former England midfielder played under Mourinho between 2004 and 2007, and also during his final season at Stamford Bridge in 2013-14.

He is now Everton manager and is trying to improve the club's fortunes after they narrowly escaped relegation from the Premier League last season.

And while Lampard, 44, retains a lot of respect for Mourinho he insists some of the lessons learned from the Special One nearly two decades ago no longer apply.
