Everton and Aston Villa in transfer tussle to sign Rangers starlet Cole McKinnon as the 17-year-old looks to follow Billy Gilmour's path from Ibrox academy to the Premier League

Everton have their sights set on signing Rangers youngster Cole McKinnon in the summer transfer window but face competition from Aston Villa.

The 17-year-old midfielder has one year left on his deal at Ibrox but has a host of Premier League clubs vying for his signature.

The Toffees are looking to sign McKinnon, who was a crucial part of the Rangers Under-17 side that won the prestigious ALKASS Cup in 2019, before it is too late.
