England's cricket stars will wear Black Lives Matter logo on their shirts in Test series against West Indies but ECB become latest group to distance themselves from groups politicising the movement

England’s cricketers will wear a Black Lives Matter logo on their shirt next week when they face West Indies – though they are still debating whether to take a knee before the start of Wednesday’s first Test.

The ECB are insistent that their use of the logo, designed by Alisha Hosannah, the partner of Watford's Troy Deeney, is not aimed at ‘politicising’ the BLM movement, but at endorsing ‘progress and societal change’.

Earlier on Thursday, Premier League club Crystal Palace backed the message of Black Lives Matter and criticised those who use the term to 'push their own political agenda'.
