Premier League and England stars Dean Henderson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have pledged $8,000 to a recovery fund for a talented British footballer who has been left in a critical condition following an unprovoked attack.
Danny Hodgson, 25, originally from Cumbria, was knocked to the ground from behind in an unprovoked attack at a Perth train station in Australia on Saturday night after making his way home from an end of season game.
He was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with severe head injuries, where he underwent emergency surgery for bleeding to the brain and a brain fracture.
