Eberechi Eze returns to the pitch for the first time in six months after Achilles injury and his recovery is ahead of schedule in boost to Patrick Vieira and Crystal Palace

Eberechi Eze made his first Crystal Palace appearance for nearly six months yesterday after an Achilles injury.

Eze ruptured his Achilles in May on the same day he was told he was due to be in England’s provisional squad for the Euros.

He has made swift progress and returned ahead of schedule, playing 62 minutes for Palace’s Under 23s against Blackburn.
