The Portuguese playmaker joined in a transfer worth up to £68million from Sporting Lisbon at the end of last January. A year on and neither Fernandes nor United have looked back.

Fernandes has turned United from top-four hopefuls into a side currently atop of the Premier League and battling to win their first title since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.
