David Warner is hit with a savage rejection during Indian Premier League auction that saw his mate Mitchell Starc scoop a record $4.4million payday

David Warner got a shocking reaction when he was celebrating his teammates' success in Tuesday night's Indian Premier League auction as he was ruthlessly blocked by his old team.

The opening batter was trying to congratulate Pat Cummins and Travis Head on Instagram after they were snapped up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for $3.67million and $1.22million respectively.

However, when he tried to share Head's Instagram story with his followers he was knocked back and posted the message: 'Trying to repost @travishead34 post but blocked from @sunrisers Instagram'.

Warner also ran into the same problem when he tried to congratulate Cummins - and the reason the Sunrisers cut him off goes back to his own messy exit from the team.
