Daniel Farke emerges as LEADING candidate for Leeds United job after meeting on Friday... with the German former Norwich boss now becoming favoured choice for the role

Daniel Farke has emerged as the leading candidate to take over at Leeds United following a meeting on Friday.

The 46-year-old, who won the Championship twice with Norwich City, had been on a shortlist with Scott Parker and Patrick Vieira.

Mail Sport understands the club hierarchy opened talks over terms with Farke on Friday afternoon after he became their favoured choice.

Leeds want a manager with experience of both the Premier League and Championship as they look to bounce back into the top flight at the first time of asking.
