Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to Eintracht Frankfurt a few months ago amid his turbulent situation at Manchester United, according to the German club's CEO.

The veteran forward, 37, was released from his contract on November 22 in a bitter, acrimonious exit from Old Trafford.

And now Frankfurt executive board member Axel Hellmann has claimed United offered Ronaldo to several teams across Europe as they looked to get rid of him.
