The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidential aspirant Sam Nyamweya has thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for moving in to help cushion sportsmen and women during the lockdown being occasioned by the coronavirus.
On Wednesday, while addressing the nation, Kenyatta revealed the government will do everything possible to make sure all athletes are supported financially until the Covid-19 pandemic is contained.
“I can assure you we have not forgotten our athletes,” Kenyatta said. “We are looking at ways possible to help them because we know they are suffering now they don’t go out to play.
