Christian Eriksen expected to complete sensational Premier League return 'inside the next 72 hours' as final details are agreed ahead of move to Brentford... with Ajax players 'shocked' at midfielder's fitness levels

Christian Eriksen is expected to complete a sensational return to the Premier League and sign for Brentford in the next three days, according to reports.

The former Tottenham midfielder has not played since suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at the European Championships in June 2021.

He was released by Inter Milan last month as Serie A rules do not allow players to take to the field with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), which Eriksen has been fitted with.

Christian Eriksen is targeting a place in the Denmark squad for this year's World Cup in Qatar
