Chelsea have an agreement with Inter Milan that would see £97.5m flop Romelu Lukaku stay in Italy for a second year.
After a deeply underwhelming and, at times acrimonious, season at Stamford Bridge the striker headed back to the San Siro.
Inter, from whom Chelsea resigned Lukaku for a club record fee, paid around £7m to take the 29-year-old – who helped them win Serie A in 2020-21 - for the forthcoming campaign.

However, he is understood to have no future at Stamford Bridge despite penning a five-year contract and Sportsmail understands there is already an agreement ‘in principle’ to extend the loan deal for another year.
