Out of favour Chelsea defender Emerson has been urged to return to Serie A and stake a claim for Italy's European Championships squad by national boss Roberto Mancini.
The 25-year-old has largely struggled to feature under Frank Lampard this season and has endured a frustrating spell since joining from Roma in January 2018.
And Emerson may now seek a move away to ensure a spot at the next international tournament, with Mancini appealing to the full back to secure a switch back to his homeland.
