Celtic 4-0 Rangers: Hoops blow rivals away in rampant first half with Liel Abada's brace and Jota strike... before David Turnball's second half effort moves them five points clear at top of Scottish Premiership

Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League as they comfortably beat Rangers at Celtic Park.

Celtic were put in front in the 8th minute of the match as Israeli Liel Abada struck from the centre of the box before Jota made it two by lifting the ball over Rangers goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin in the in the 32nd minute.

Abada then doubled his tally for the day five minutes before half time with a low shot through the legs of McLaughlin. They were not finished with three as David Turnball added a fourth for the Hoops in the 78th minute.
