Burnley make an enquiry for Christian Benteke as Sean Dyche desperately seeks reinforcements after losing Chris Wood to relegation rivals Newcastle... but Crystal Palace put a £12m price tag on the Belgian striker

Crystal Palace have placed a £12million valuation on Christian Benteke following an enquiry from Burnley.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche is on the look out for striking reinforcements following the shock departure of Chris Wood to Newcastle for £25million last week.

And Burnley have identified Benteke as a priority target this month as they look to sign a replacement for Wood ahead of the transfer window.

Importantly, Sportsmail understands that Palace are open to selling Benteke this month - but want a fee of between £10million-£12million.
