Brighton chief Paul Barber begs players to end pay cut stand-off and give clubs help to survive coronavirus crisis with pressure now on executives to take lead

Brighton chief Paul Barber has called on the PFA to end the stand-off over player pay cuts and give clubs the help they need to cope with the coronavirus crisis.

Southampton yesterday became the first Premier League club to agree wage deferrals with their squad. Elsewhere division-wide talks have reached an impasse, with the PFA demanding a financial breakdown from each club before returning to the negotiating table.

Brighton say they have been 'transparent' with their players about their financial plight, but that they don't think they 'need to be transparent with anyone else, including the PFA'.
