Brighton 'are eyeing New York City's Taty Castellanos as a potential replacement for Leandro Trossard' with the Belgian set to depart this month... as they 'contact the MLS team and loan-club Girona over January move for forward'

New York City have reportedly been approached by Brighton over a potential move for Valentin 'Taty' Castellanos as the Premier League club eye a replacement for Leandro Trossard this month.

Castellanos, 24, has spent the last four-and-a-half years with New York City but currently finds himself on loan at their sister Spanish outfit Girona until the end of the season.

The Argentine striker boasts a return of four goals in 16 LaLiga appearances this term, helping Girona take 21 points from a possible 51 on their return to the top flight, and The Independent claim Brighton have identified him as a potential replacement for Trossard.
