Brentford reveal they WILL take the knee before Premier League games after stopping earlier this year due to a 'lack of impact'... but star striker Ivan Toney will NOT join his team-mates in the pre-match gesture and will 'make his own personal statement'

Brentford have reversed their decision to stop taking the knee ahead of their debut Premier League season - but star striker Ivan Toney will continue to stand before kick-off.

The west Londoners stopped making the gesture in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in February of this year, with the club 'no longer believing that this is having an impact'.

The Bees were promoted to the Premier League for the first time ever in May and when England's top division confirmed that all 20 clubs will take the knee on Tuesday, Brentford released a statement revealing everyone bar Toney will join the rest of the division in the gesture.
