Brendan Rodgers has slammed the timing of the World Cup and claimed the fear of injury is affecting players' performances across the Premier League.
The first mid-season World Cup begins in Qatar later this month, with the tournament moved from its usual slot because temperatures in the Gulf state meant it was unfeasible to stage it in summer.
The action starts on November 20 and while Rodgers has had no concerns about the commitment of his Leicester players, he believes the organisers were wrong to break with tradition in this way.
'When it was announced that the World Cup would take place at this time we all sensed that it wasn't ideal, firstly for players and for supporters,' said Rodgers.
