After a relatively even contest for most of the first half, Atletico dominated the second and leave 2-0 winners. It surely took longer than Simeone wanted, but his side finally managed to get on the scoresheet in the 67th minute when Trippier picked out Morata in loads of space in the box, with the striker heading his effort low and past Herrera. Less than 10 minutes later, Saul was found on the run into the box, and chipped the ‘keeper to double the hosts’ lead. As for Osasuna, they waned the further the match went, managing just a single shot on target in the entirety of the second half.
