Assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis who faces investigation for 'elbowing Liverpool defender in the throat' says he is prepared for whatever the Football Association choose to do

The assistant referee being investigated over claims he elbowed a Liverpool player in the throat has said he is prepared for whatever the Football Association decide.

Constantine Hatzidakis has been told he will not officiate another match while the investigation is carried out.

Speaking at his south London home, he said: 'Whatever happens, happens. There is nothing more I can say at the moment. I can't talk about what happened.'

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson claimed the linesman elbowed him in the face after he approached him as he walked off during the Premier league match against Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday.
