Arsenal may yet offer Santi Cazorla a new contract despite the Spaniard not having played for the club since October 2016.
Cazorla has suffered a series of career threatening injured and has had to undergo multiple operations, resulting in the loss of eight centimetres from the tendon in his right ankle.
The Spanish midfielder revealed last year that his specialists also gave serious consideration as to whether they should amputate his foot after he contracted a potentially life-threatening infection in his foot.

Yet manager Arsene Wenger on Thursday said that Cazorla's rehab is going well and that the club will assess him this summer and may yet extend his deal that is set to expire.
