Arsenal legend Ian Wright calls the club's decision to join new European Super League 'absolutely SHAMEFUL' and urges his old side to 'remember who you are'... as ex-Gunners defender Bacary Sagna says he'll STOP watching football if plan goes ahead

Ian Wright has slammed Arsenal's decision to form the new controversial European Super League, branding the club's formal announcement as 'absolutely shameful.'

The Gunners are one of 12 founding members of the breakaway competition alongside the Premier League's 'Big Six', three Spanish clubs and three Italian clubs.

The move has been near-universally criticised in all quarters of the game and Arsenal legend Wright - who scored 185 goals for the club in seven years - was stern and simple in his reaction.
