Arsenal and Wolves among clubs eyeing move for Maxi Gomez with cash-strapped Valencia ready to sell striker in January or the summer for much less than £125m release clause

Arsenal and Wolves are among the clubs monitoring developments with Valencia striker Maxi Gomez.

The Uruguay international only joined from Celta Vigo in 2019 but is expected to be sold either in January or the summer as Valencia look to raise funds.

Gomez was the subject of bids from West Ham prior to his move to Mestalla but wanted to either remain in Spain or move to a club with prospects of playing regularly in European competitions.
