Ange Postecoglou hails 'outstanding' Tottenham performance against Man United and praises his team for giving 'everything' as injury-hit Spurs snatch a valuable point at Old Trafford

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou was proud of his side that travelled to face Manchester United without several players that were unavailable through injury and illness.

Tottenham dominated possession at Old Trafford and had 16 attempts on goal to United's nine, but allowed the hosts to score with their only two shots on target.

A first start for new recruit Timo Werner exposed how threadbare Postecoglou's injury-hit squad is, while United were welcoming back long-term absentees for the clash.

The Spurs manager remained optimistic as his side left Old Trafford with a point having already beaten United in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
