Bayern Munich’s long-serving left-back David Alaba’s future at the Bundesliga champions appears to be up in the air after he suggested he could see himself leaving the club in the future.
The 27-year-old Austria international has a contract at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2021, and has been a first-team fixture under both Niko Kovac and Hansi Flick so far this season.
With Canadian youngster Alphonso Davies impressing at left-back and defensive pair Niklas Sule and Lucas Hernandez injured, Alaba has filled in impressively at centre-back – but their eventual return from injury leaves some doubts around his long-term future in Bavaria.
