The agent at the centre of the corruption scandal sweeping English football says his claim that eight current and former Premier League managers took bribes was a lie to impress businessmen.
In the space of a week Sam Allardyce has left his position as England manager, Barnsley assistant Tommy Wright has been sacked and QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Southampton number two Eric Black have both denied any wrongdoing, after all four were filmed by undercover reporters from the Telegraph.
Agent Pino Pagliara was also filmed, alleging eight managers had been guilty of accepting money in exchange for their influence in the transfer market, but the Italian has now told the BBC it was all a lie.
