2021 MTN8 Final: PSL confirm fans to attend Mamelodi Sundowns vs Cape Town City clash

The Premier Soccer League has announced 2000 “fully vaccinated” fans will be at Moses Mabhida Stadium for the MTN8 final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City on Saturday.

Since March 2020, no supporters have been allowed to attend matches organised by the PSL due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But Safa opened FNB Stadium earlier in October to watch the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Ethiopia with spectatorship limited to 2000 fully vaccinated fans.

The PSL has attached similar conditions for Saturday's clash, and no tickets will be sold.

“In accordance with the approval granted by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in terms of the directives issued by the minister of Sport, Arts and Culture on 15 October 2021, a total number of 2000 people will be allowed to attend the MTN8 final,” the PSL said in a statement.
