New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has fractured his left ring finger and will be out indefinitely, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Pelicans currently sit in the 11th spot in the Western Conference race for seeding in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. They are 1.5 games behind the 10th-place San Antonio Spurs, who sit in the final seed for this year’s play-in tournament.
In 61 games this season, Williamson has averaged 27.0 points and 7.2 rebounds on 61.1% shooting from the floor. His is his team’s leading scorer and third-leading rebounder.
