SB Nation’s theme this week is sports moments that have made us cry. As Portland Trail Blazers fans, there’s surely an occasion — maybe multiple — that have induced waterworks.
One example that comes to mind is Brandon Roy’s heroic performance Game 4 against the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Playoffs. I didn’t even watch the game live, but the highlights alone are enough to move me to tears as I think about an alternate reality where Roy enjoyed perfect health and is still torching defenses with his crafty repertoire of moves to this day.
