Gary Trent Jr. has appeared in five games with the Raptors since his deadline-day departure from the Trail Blazers. In a look back at the events that unfolded that day, Trent explained to The Athletic’s Eric Koreen that he knew a change of scenery was imminent after he received a call from his agent.
“I was just in my hotel room taking my pregame nap, getting ready, going through my pregame routine — what I do usually,” Trent Jr. said the day of his trade, 10 days ago. “I got a call from my agent, Rich Paul, and he told me that I was going to get traded and that was that.
