On October 15, Paul Allen, technologist, philanthropist and owner of both the Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks, passed away at the age of 65 due to complications from non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. While the Seattle native, who purchased the Trail Blazers in 1988, leaves behind a legacy that goes well beyond sports, Allen's influence on those who worked for his teams goes well beyond that of a typical owner.
