Amid a flurry of trades and signings, the Portland Trail Blazers announced promotions within their coaching staff today. Long-time assistant Nate Tibbetts has been promoted to associate head coach. The Blazers have also hired former NBA player Jannero Pargo as an assistant coach. Jim Moran got a promotion to the front of the bench.
Earlier this summer, Assistant Coach David Vanterpool departed Portland for an associate head coach position with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
